| Guangdong Implements CEPA Consultation
Within the framework of CEPA,
businesses from Hong Kong and Macao
are allowed in China’s mainland
to provide relating cargo distribution
and logistics services, including
shipping of ordinary cargo, storage,
loading and unloading, processing,
packaging, distribution and other
related information and consultation
services, together with agent service
of domestic cargo shipping; and they
are also permitted to manage and carry
out their logistics services with
the computer networks. Related reference

Upon the implement of CEPA, Hong Kong
will enjoy before schedule some open
promises made by China's entry to
WTO. As many as 273 Hong Kong products,
formerly taxable items deemed in mainland,
may be offered the preference of zero
tariff, if they are in conformity
with rules of origin. Information

Upon the implement of CEPA, Chinese
citizens among Hong Kong’s and
Macao’s permanent residents
are allowed to apply to initiate individual
businesses engaging in retail sales
within the territory of Guangdong.
Their applications no longer need
to be examined and approved as foreign
investments need, while the said applications
shall be registered directly by the
administrative department in accordance
